Tom Seu Jing Jung

Tom Seu Jing Jung passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, after a prosperous and long life. In his 93 years, Tom achieved the American Dream after leaving China, marrying in Hong Kong, and raising a family in Michigan and subsequently Ohio.

Tom, with his Sandra, successfully operated China City Restaurant in Toledo, Ohio for 12 years. Upon retirement, they enjoyed traveling, visiting children, grandchildren, other relatives and friends all over the United States and abroad.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sandra; his children, Janny (Gregg) Haught, Bortman (Linda) Jung, Bourbon (Lori) Jung, Burton (Kate) Jung, and Connie (Jan Johannessen) Jung; and his adoring grandchildren, Benson (Alisa), Samuel, Andrew (Kaylie), Brynner, Bayden, Abby, Nathan, Bronson, Lucas, Kai, Adam, and Michael.

Tom is also survived by his younger brother, Tom Seu Fong Jung, and many beloved relatives. He was predeceased by his older brother, Tom Seu Jong Jung.

A private family service will be held to honor his life. Tom will be laid to rest at the Woodlawn Cemetery (Toledo, OH).
