Robert George Miller

Robert Miller, 64, born January 25, 1953 in Lancashire, England passed away on June 5, 2017. Robert grew up in England and then traveled extensively with his family while his father was enlisted in the United States Air Force. Robert attended Rogers High school and enlisted in the Army where he was a medic stationed in Germany during the Vietnam conflict. Robert worked for many years at Pilkington Glass Manufacturer until he became disabled from cancer. Robert survived eight years from esophageal/stomach cancer. Robert was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the history channel. He also enjoyed watching sports and his favorite teams are the Pittsburg Steelers, Ohio State Buckeyes' and the Detroit Tigers. Robert enjoyed working outdoors planting and landscaping. Survivors include his wife Jeanne Miller, Brothers Michael and Gary Miller, Sister Eileen Ford. Step children Steven Bash, Jeffrey Bash (Lisa), Patrice Whetsel (David), Sandra Smith, and Debra Collins (Jeff). Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends Doug and Lynn Shelhard. Robert was proceeded in death by his parents Robert Miller senior and Elizabeth Miller his step-mother June Tucholski, and step-sister Jennifer Konecki and granddaughter Jennifer Veler. Family will receive friends at Bersticker-Scott funeral home on Heatherdowns Blvd. at Byrne Rd. from 5-7:00pm June 9, 2017 with a memorial service immediately following conducted by Rev. Karin Brown from Heartland Hospice.
