Michael J. Walker

Michael J. Walker, 67, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 21,
2021, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Born April 15, 1954 ("Tax
Day") to Gale Walker and Doris Baughman. Michael was a graduate of Larc
Lane and proudly worked for many years at Lott Industries. Michael lived at
the Northwest Ohio Developmental Center (NODC), where he enjoyed
participating in social activities and outings with his housemates and staff. It
was well known that anything involving food, dancing, music, or bowling were
favorites for Michael.
Michael was preceded in death by his Parents and his beloved Stepmother,
Mae Walker. Surviving are his Sister, Sue Hood; Brian Hood and Andrea
Glesser (nephew/niece and guardians); Katina Clark (favorite caregiver and
close friend); Debbie Baker, Sherrie Rooks, Patty Hughes, Irene Brzuchalski,
Vicki Puterbaugh, and Bobbi Clements (half-sisters); and Lesley Baughman
(half-brother).
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, after
2:00 p.m., at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd (at
Byrne), where services will be held at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial
donations may be made to the Northwest Ohio Developmental Center (1101 S.
Detroit Ave, Toledo, OH 43614). The family wishes to extend our sincere
