Martin Jefferson Fritts passed away peacefully at Embassy of Swanton on November 23, 2023, with his loving family at his side. Marty was born on September 28, 1933, to Lester and Fannie (Jones) Fritts in Toledo, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Dorothy, brother Charles of AZ, sister Etta Jane Dunlap, daughters Faith, and Janie, great-grandson Abel Maier and great-granddaughter Savanah Duran.
Marty was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an active member of The Church of the Cross and enjoyed singing in the choir. Marty was a member of Local 886 Cement Masons from 1954 until retiring in 1995.
Marty is survived by his children, Connie (Mark) Ryan, Marty (Julie) Fritts, Franklin aka Doby Fritts, Mahon (Regina) Fritts, and Stacy (James) Duran. Brother Karl (Kathy) Fritts, sisters in law Wanda, Linda & Jerrye; 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received at the Church of the Cross, 1750 Eastgate Rd. on Wednesday November 29, 2023 from 6:30pm until 8:30pm with services at the church on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 12:30pm.
Burial will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Please send condolences to the family at berstickerscottfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to the church of the Cross Benevolence Fund.
