Marcia Mary Albring, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 17, 2026. She was born on August 15, 1944, in Jackson, Michigan to Elizabeth (Wendt) Cox and Philip Cox, and lived a life marked by deep love for her family and quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her.
Marcia is survived by her devoted husband, Robert, with whom she shared over 60 years of love and partnership. She was a caring and dedicated mother to Andrea, Erin, Amy, and Audrey. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Erin, who remained forever in her heart.
She is survived by her loving brother, Philip Cox. Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren, Emma, Annie, Sara, Tommy, Madeline, Weston, Sydney, Chloe, and Skylar, who brought her immense pride and joy. She treasured her role as a sister and grandmother and created lasting memories with each of them.
Marcia graduated from St. Ursula Academy and studied at Ohio University. Marcia enjoyed boating, reading, and bird watching, especially spotting cardinals and blue jays. She found joy in gardening and tending to her favorite flowers, including geraniums, lilies, lilacs, and daisies. She adored her beloved Bernese Mountain Dogs and treasured the companionship they brought to her life. Marcia also had a special gift for making others feel loved and celebrated, always going out of her way to make birthdays, holidays, and every meaningful occasion memorable for her friends and family.
She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the steady presence she provided to her family. Her love was the foundation of the home she built, and her influence will be felt for generations to come.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A private family service will be held at St Patrick's of Heatherdowns Church. Internment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
