Lynda Markiewicz

Lynda Markiewicz, 73 of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, in her residence. Born February 7, 1953, in Plymouth, Michigan, to Irwin and Shirley (Bombach) Brink. A 1971 graduate of Plymouth High School, Lynda dedicated 29 years of service as an administrative assistant with the Toledo Public School System. She found great joy in her work and took pride in supporting her Riverside Elementary family.

Lynda will be remembered as the heart of her family-someone whose love, strength, and warmth kept everyone connected. She was a steady source of comfort and care for those who knew her. Lynda was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Markiewicz, parents, Irwin and Shirley Brink, and sister-in-law, Tracy Brink. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Dan Markiewicz; sons, Scott Markiewicz (Lauren Rush), Jeff Markiewicz; siblings, Russ (Carolyn) Brink, Jerry Brink, Katie (Mike) McCollum; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road on Thursday April 30, 2026, from 4-8 p.m. A private burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth, Michigan. The family suggests memorials to the YMCA of Greater Toledo Community Hubs Initiative in lieu of flowers.
