Ludwig Karl Nowak

Ludwig Karl Nowak, 91 of Toledo passed away April 18, 2021 in The University of Toledo Medical Center after a brief illness. Born August 7, 1929 in Germany. Mr. Nowak immigrated to the United states in 1955. Mr. Nowak was a trained cabinet maker in Germany he used his skills at Toledo Showcase, Rudolf Libbey and Lathrop Co. Mr. Nowak was a member of the Cabinet Makers and Carpenters unions.

In 1971 Ludwig "Always trying to please his wife" bought Georges Night club on Broadway as a team they ran for 28 years in his later years (1988) Ludwig missed his work of cabinetry and began Ludwig Cabinet shop on Airport Hwy and stayed active till the age of 83 when he decided to retire.

Mr. Nowak was a member of the Bavarian Club for 65 years and was one of the original members of the German American festival.

Mr. Nowak was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is his wife, Regina (Kaub) Nowak, Daughter, Barbara (Julian) Vogelgesang, son, Mark Nowak (Theresa), grandchildren, Heide Anteau (Todd), Christine Roe (Scott), Holly Urbina (Tony), Kurt Nowak (Breanna), Michael Nowak, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great greatgrandchild.

A private entombment took place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of Mr. Nowak will take place at a later at the Bavarian Club. The family suggest memorials to the Bavarian Club of Toledo. Arrangements by the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd.
