Lawrence Kerstetter

Lawrence John Kerstetter, age 78, was born on August 10, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, and entered eternal rest on April 25, 2025, at his home in Waterville, Ohio.

Larry was a 1964 graduate of Bowsher High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force with his best friend Marty Davis. The two followed one another through the service, including a tour in Vietnam. After his service to our country, Larry became an electrician and worked with the IBEW Local 8 for 55 years. Projects he was proud to have worked on include: One Government Center, One Seagate Centre, Davis Besse, and the Monroe Power Plant. Larry also worked on numerous projects throughout Ohio and the Midwest. Larry volunteered for many years at Oktoberfest, the pancake breakfast, and the 4th of July celebration at Walbridge Park.

Larry was a proud husband, father, brother, uncle, son, and friend. His witty one-liners made everyone laugh. He enjoyed reading, traveling, his Detroit Lions, Bourbon with his brothers, as well as spending time with family & friends. He spent countless days at their favorite river spot with close friends. He could aways be counted on to help friends with most any project.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Bland and Roberta, his sister Maryann Roberts, and her husband, Robert Roberts.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, of 55 years. Sharon was the love of his life and made sure that he had the best quality of life while he battled life's challenges. Also surviving are his sons John (Nicole), Jim, and his favorite daughter, Angela Avant (Duane). Larry's amazing granddaughters, that were the apple of his eye, Addison and Alexandria, his 3 brothers, Bob (Wendy), Doug (Rose), and Bill, and his sister, Ninette Pietri (Fred)

He was also a favorite uncle to all of his nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the International Boxing Club and all of the friends he made there. Many thanks also to his caregivers, who made it possible for him to remain at home. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Prostate Cancer Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's.

A private celebration of life will be held in June.
