Katherine M. Phillips

Katherine M. Phillips, 77 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Friday May 5, 2023, in the Toledo Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a brief battle with cancer. Born May 30, 1945, in Toledo, Ohio to Thatcher W and Marjorie (Babcock) Dye. Katherine was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of faith bible Baptist church for many years she enjoyed spending time with her friends at Keygate manor playing bingo and doing arts and crafts . Sundays were family day where she enjoyed her children and grandchildren her motto was always family first.

Katherine was preceded in death by her husband Verne C. Phillips in October,2000, grandson, Jonathan Phillips, sister-in-law Margaret Dye and nephew Paul Michael.

Surviving are her children, Michelle Phillips (Kynard Dennis), son, John (Jessica) Phillips, Brothers, William “Bill” Dye, Samuel (Tamara) Dye, grandchildren Katrina Phillips, Shaqoya Phillips, Danyelle Weed, Cheyenne Phillips ,Jacob weed ,John Phillips and Emma Phillips .great grandchildren Charles, Ava, Zaurora, Jace, Carter and Genevieve, also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family at Cedar Creek Church 2150 South Byrne Road Toledo, Ohio Friday May 12, 2023, after 2 p.m. where services will be held at 4:00 p.m. A private burial will take place at a later date.
