Judith "Meemaw" Parrott
Judith Kay Parrott, (MeeMaw, Judy with the booty) age 64 of Toledo,OH passed away
peacefully, surrounded by her Grandchildren, on March 15, 2019 at the University of Toledo
Medical Center from Heart Failure. She was born May 14, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to Joe C. and
Irene (Nanny) M. (Twigg) Bain. Judy worked in customer service and retail, practically her
whole life. Slightly dabbling in child labor when she would let her grandchildren tag along on a
typical work day. Or, when she would conduct a mini sweatshop in her kitchen during the
holidays baking cookies.
Judy was an avid Alabama sports "Roll Tide "and an Atlanta Braves fan. She made sure to
gloat, brag, and talk shit any chance she had to her grandchildren when her teams would beat
theirs. Which was pretty much all of the time. She would say it was because "them down south
boys fed different."
She had a love for arts and crafts, and not just for herself as a hobby but because she loved
creating gifts for the people she loved. Over the years she would crochet afghans, hundreds of
mittens, scarves, doll dresses, baby blankets, pot holders, etc⦠She would sew jammies, dresses,
bunnies, blankets, you name it she would make it for her children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren
or any orders that she would receive from family, friends and co-workers. She
had a knack for Scrapbooking and loved making them for her Grandchildren. Her newest and
one of her greatest hobbies was quilting beautiful gifts, baby quilts, large quilts, pot holders,
Christmas stockings, etc... if you gave her a pattern, she could make it. Also, she would spend
countless hours working in her yard gardening with the help of family volunteers and a very
special neighbor, Jenni.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel R. Parrott (Poppy), daughter, Jamie Ladiler,
brother, Steve Twigg, parents Joe and Irene Bain, grandchildren, Daniel Parrott, Rachel Davies
Angela Fuller. Surviving are her son, Clayton Parrott, daughters, Lou Ann (Theresa) Lang,
