Diane Mize

Diane R. (Chinni) Mize, 84 of Toledo, Ohio, passed peacefully on December 30, 2025, at the University of Toledo Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. Diane was born on 31, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Julius and Rachael (Richards) Chinni.

Diane graduated from Toledo's Waite High School in 1959. She worked for the University of Toledo Medical Center starting in 1987 in central supply, food service and retiring as a switchboard operator 2019. Previously, Diane worked for Ohio Bell as a phone operator. Diane married Ross E Mize on January 18, 1964, in Toledo. Diane was a soccer referee for both children's and high school games for several years.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ross Mize (1986), sister, Susan Sweeny and brother, William Chinni. Surviving are her sons, David Mize, John Mize, William (Dawn) Mize, and sister, Cheri (Michael) Csortos.

The family will receive friends and relatives at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd Wednesday January 7, 2026, from 2-7 p.m. A private service of remembrance will be held on Thursday January 8, 2026, Diane will be laid to rest next to her husband Ross in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
