Betty J Erdmann Betty J. Erdmann, 85 of South Toledo, passed away February 13, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to William and Lenora (Gebhart) Wakefield. Betty graduated from Libbey High School in 1944. Betty was united in marriage to Ralph Erdmann and he preceded her in death on October 21, 1992. Betty worked at Owens Corning Fiberglas for 15 years and retired from Johns Manville after 15 years. In her youth she loved belonging to Triune Rainbow Girls serving as worthy advisor and Grand Chaplain to the State of Ohio. Betty was a member of Triune Chapter Eastern Stars for 50 years, Up the River Book Club and many card groups. Betty was an active member of Zion United Methodist Church serving on many committees and women's groups, Betty loved volunteering at St. Luke's Hospital and belonged to their Auxiliary. Betty's interests were bicycle riding gardening, card playing, reading and baseball. Betty is surviving by her daughter, Jane Gallis, special companion Winkee, and many, many many special friends. Betty was also preceded in death by her brother William. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns at Byrne Rd Thursday February 16, 2012 2-5 & 6-8 P.M where funeral services will be held on Friday February 17, 2012 1:00 P.M. Interment will be he3ld in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to Zion United Methodist Church.
