Angeline Rachel Basilius, 95 of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Sunrise Senior Care after a brief illness. Born October 12, 1930, in Erie, Michigan, to Clarence and Jennie (Winnie) Loveless. Angie was an LPN for 24 years at The Toledo Mental Health Center, retiring in 1990.
Angie was a longtime active member of St Lucas Lutheran Church. Angie was noted for running the St Lucas Lunch program for many years and being featured on Channel 13 news as a Hero during COVID, making lunches. Angie also placed a great emphasis on her family in many ways.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband, William Basilius, brother Ervin Loveless, and sister Virginia Bilby. Surviving are her son, George McNutt; daughter, Teresa Lucio; grandson Carlos Lucio; brother, Howard (Laura) Loveless; nephew Kevin Elgin, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 2-8 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Paul Myers officiating. Interment will take place at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to St. Lucas Lutheran Church.
