Angie (Rutledge) Forkapa, 69, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2026. She was born on February 23, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, to Robert and Donna (Steele) Rutledge.
Angie spent much of her life working in the service industry. She enjoyed serving customers at several local restaurants over the years, including Billyle Supper Club, Bill Knapp's, Christopher's, Steven's, and the Black Pearl. For the last 30 years of her career, she also worked cleaning houses, a job she dedicated many years of hard work to and where she met many she called friends.
When Angie wasn't working, she enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved reading a good book, sitting out on her back patio, and spending time with her dogs. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Jack, Finn, and Kora, who brought a special joy to her life.
Angie is survived by her husband, Rian; her daughter, Cortnie (Andy) McLaughlin; her son, Adam; her mother, Donna Bronson; her sisters, Roxanne Smith and Beth Gillette; and her grandchildren, Jack McLaughlin, Finn McLaughlin, and Kora Forkapa.
Angie's passing was unexpected, and she will be remembered by those who shared in the many moments of her life, from her years working in the community to the quiet afternoons spent at home with a book and her dogs.
The family is planning a celebration of life for all who knew Angie on Wednesday, October 7, from 4-8 p.m. at CJ's on Third, located at 139 W. 3rd St., Perrysburg, Ohio.
