Victor Ray 'Vic' Seelman

Victor "Vic" Ray Seelman Victor "Vic" Ray Seelman, 74 of Monclova Twp. Ohio, passed away September 8, 2017 in his residence unexpectedly. Born on March 21, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio to Raymond George and Fern Virginia (Bearse) Seelman. Victor was a 1961 graduate of Libbey High School where he excelled in football. He was named to The All City 1st team and to The All Ohio All-Star football team. He attended Florida State University on a football scholarship and the University of Toledo where he studied business. He married his high school sweet heart, the former Sandy Keim, in St. Petri Lutheran Church November 28, 1964. Sandy's heart was set on Vic since the first grade. Vic started his working career with McDonald's on Secor Road in 1963 as the fry boy and gradually worked his way up thru various management positions, including Director of Operations for the State of Michigan and later the State of Florida. In 1979 he then became owner operator of 3 McDonald's franchises in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Urbana, Ohio, and Russell's Point, Ohio, right on Indian Lake. He retired in 1988 selling his franchises and moved back to Toledo to be close to his family. Vic's hobbies were stain glass, wood working, boating and golfing. Vic's memberships were St. Petri Lutheran Church as a lifetime member, serving on various committees, long time member Maumee River Yacht Club, where he served on the board of trustees, Bellefontaine Country Club, and was past member of the Toledo Country Club. He was the beloved leader of the 1961 Libbey High School Reunion Committee for many years. Vic was preceded in death by his parents, surviving are his wife of 52 years, Sandy, son, Bradley (Amanda) Seelman, brothers in law, Gene (Debby) Campbell and Bill Campbell. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road Thursday September 14, 2017 2-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held in St. Petri Lutheran Church 3120 S. Byrne Rd. Friday September 15, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. the family will receive friends after 10: A.M. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to St. Petri Lutheran Church or the Humane Society.
