Ronald W Kitting

Ronald W. Kitting(Ronnie) Our beloved Ronald W. Kitting, age 67 of Sylvania, Ohio passed away March 16, 2010 in his residence. Born March 23, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to Walter L. and Mildred L. (Lang) Kitting. Ron worked as a store manager of Big Lots of Perrysburg and Bowling Green, Ohio retiring in 2007. Previously Ron worked for Lasalles, Lamsons, and Washington Distributors as a buyer. Ron's favorite memories were of the vacations he shared with his family, lying in the Florida sun and searching for the perfect shell with his devoted wife of 44 years, Bette. His favorite cruise was one that brought him back to the island of Antigua, a place he cherished from his days in the Navy. He loved and was so proud of his grandsons, Noah and Kyle, attending their sporting events, taking them for long walks in the park, fishing at Olander, or just sitting listening to their stories. He also loved to play games, outdoors and in, and visiting a casino was a real treat. Ron loved to pass time working in his beautiful yard, lying in his hammock or playing his hand held Yahtzee game. His laughter will be forever remembered as he watched reruns of I love Lucy and the Golden Girls. He was a hardworking man who did everything out of love for his family right to the end. Surviving are his wife; Bette (Bergquist), daughters, Kristin (Brian) Rose, Victoria (Anthony) Shiple, grandchildren, Noah, Kyle Rose, mother, Mildred Lang, step-mother, Sheila Kitting, half-sister, Valerie (Paul) Via, half-brothers, Christopher Kitting, Timothy (Maureen) Kitting, brother-in-law, Jon Bergquist, and special pets Sassy, Peanut, and Fluffy. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Walter. and special cousin Ray Middaugh (Margie). A memorial service and luncheon celebrating Ron's life will be held at the Shiple home on Saturday, March 20 12-8pm at 1980 Colony Drive, Toledo. Deacon Joe Kest will officiate.
