Richard L. Alt Richard L. Alt, age 94 of Swanton, Ohio formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away Tuesday August 17, 2010. Richard was born on July 20, 1916 in Pansey, West Virginia to William C. and Sara Elizabeth (Hiser) Alt. Richard was and Army/Air force veteran of WWII. He was a sales representative for the Jersey Bread Co. and SunBeam Bread Co. for 30 years retiring in 1973. He continued working at St. Ann's Parish now St. Martin dePorres Church as a custodian for 15 years. Richard was a former member of St. Ann's church and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and current member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Marceline Alt in 1997, Sons, Richard and Brian Alt, Daughter, Judy McClain, Sisters, Ruth, Ester, Kate, Erma, Mabel, Virginia, brothers, Homer, Herbert and Lowell, in laws George "Boppa" and Pat "Mamie" Surviving is son, Michael (Sue) Alt, daughters, Ellen (Jeff) Bucher, Dianne (Don) Ewing, 11 Grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, son in law Floyd "Mac" McClain. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd Sunday August 22, 2010 2-9 P.M. with scripture services to held at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Monday August 23 at 9:30 A.M. Followed by the mass of Christian burial to be held at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. Burial will be in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. A special thanks to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and also to Susanne and Marilyn for the tender loving care of Dad.
