Mary E Warner

Mary Ellen Warner, age 81 of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully in her daughter's arms on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at her residence. Mary was born on August 4, 1931 in Alton, Illinois to Albert E. and Adeline E. (Ernst) Goldman. She was a graduate of Alton Memorial School of Nursing in Alton, IL. Mary had a 30-year nursing career caring for the elderly. She retired from the State of Ohio as a nursing surveyor of nursing homes and hospitals in 1994. Mary's pride and joy was spending time with her two daughters and five granddaughters. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and making crafts for family and friends. Her stories and spirit will be missed as she joins her beloved Norman. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Norman R. Warner and her brother Henry Haworth. She is survived by her two daughters, Joy (Kevin) Kosinski, Lori Ferguson, sister Helen Orban of Godfrey, IL; granddaughters Elizabeth (Adam) Wolfram, Sara (Ronald) Conrad, Melissa (Brian) Bergman, Shannon and Carley Ferguson, great grandchildren, Abigail, James, Nolan and Adeline all of Toledo, OH. Private services were held this past Sunday, August 26, 2012 in the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home. A private interment will take place at the Oakwood Cemetery in Alton, IL on Saturday, September 1, 2012. The family would like to thank Mary's special angels who cared for her over the last few years as companions and friends.
