Kevin Joseph Steiner

Kevin Steiner 92, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024 in Maumee Ohio with his daughter and granddaughter by his side. Kevin was born on April 3, 1931 to Mary (Shutt) and Melvin Steiner which was Good Friday that year. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone. Kevin lived in Maumee OH for 40 years before moving to Winter Haven FL. Kevin was married for 61 years before his wife passed. He grew up in South Toledo and attended Libbey High school graduating in 1949. Upon graduation he enlisted in the Army and served during the Korean War. He spent his entire career working for A& P Food Stores and later working for Compass Foods as their Eight O'Clock coffee representative.


While in Florida he was a member of St. John's UMC in Winter Haven and just recently

transferred his membership back to Maumee United Methodist Church upon his return to Ohio in December 2023. Prior to moving to Florida he had been a member of Maumee UMC for almost 40 years. He was a 70 year member of Triad Masonic Lodge (currently Barton Smith) a member of Zenobia Shrine and the Scottish Rite. He was active with the International Order of Rainbow for Girls where he had served on the advisory board. He was very proud to have been awarded the Grand Cross of Color for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls.


He is survived by Daughter Janice Sharp, Granddaughter Laura Lynn Sharp, son in law Marty Limmer, Brother-in-Law Nelson Damschroder (Ethel), Sister-in-law Elaine Damschroder and many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, daughter Tamara Limmer, his parents and his sisters and brothers. Friends may call March 25 at the Maumee United Methodist Church 405 Sackett St. Maumee, OH beginning at 5:00 pm. Masonic Services will begin at 6:30. Masonic Services will be followed by a memorial service and will end with a Military service.


The family has requested memorials be made in Kevin's name to the Shrine Hospitals for
