Kathleen R. Waggoner

Kathleen R. Waggoner, age 87 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010, in the Swan Creek Retirement Village where she resided since 2005. Kathleen was born on September 14, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Fritz L. and Grace H. (Hutchings) Radford. Mrs. Waggoner worked for the Pittsburgh A.C.L.D (Allegheny County Learning Disabilities) for 25 years as a Learning Disabilities Teacher. Kathleen received her undergraduate degree in Literature, Science and the Arts. From the University of Michigan and later attended the University of Pittsburgh working toward a masters degree. Kathleen was a Deacon, Elder and devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh for 52 years until moving to the Toledo Area. Mrs. Waggoner was preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Waggoner in 1968, Brother Fritz L. Radford II. Surviving are her two sons: Robert A. (Peggy) Waggoner of Toledo and George W. (Becky) Waggoner of Fredericksburg, Virginia, one daughter: Claire E. Waggoner of Fredrick, Maryland, three Grandchildren: Faith A. Yingling, Jennifer L. Waggoner, and Nathaniel Waggoner, one Sister: Frances Johnson of Waterford, Michigan and two Sister In Laws: Robie Radford of Milford, Michigan and Roberta Bell of Fresno, California A celebration of life service will be held for Kathleen in the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd Toledo, Ohio on Monday October 18, 2010 at 7:30 P.M. where the family will receive friends after 5:00 P.M. A Private Inurnment will be held in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pa. on the following day.
