Joyce Elaine Gustafson

Joyce E. Gustafson Joyce E. Gustafson, age 76 of Swanton, Oh, formerly of the Maumee, Oh, passed away February 24, 2010 in the Parkcliffe Community. She was born on July 4, 1933 in Lansing, Michigan to Howard and Francis (Ek) Koehrman. Joyce married her childhood sweetheart, Stanley (Stan) Gustafson on November 24, 1951 they were married for 32 until his passing on December 26, 1983. Together they had five children. Joyce is survived by her children Deborah S. (Donald) Miner, Suffield Ct., Cynthia K. (Jeffrey) Nissen Toledo, Oh, Elizabeth A. Gustafson, Whitehouse, Oh, Andrew L. (Julie) Gustafson, Whitehouse, Ohio, and Benson C. (Kathleen) Gustafson, Swanton, Ohio, her sister's, Viberta (Alan) Conn, Marilyn (John) Lewis, Lansing Michigan, sixteen Grandchildren, and eleven Great Grandchildren. Joyce preceded in death by her husband, parents and four grandchildren. Joyce was a member of the Moose Lodge #2537, BGSU Curling Club, Toledo Zoo, Toledo Crafters Guild, the Jazz Jamboree in Rock Shadow, Arizona, The Toledo Quarter Midget Association for fourteen years and an active supporter of competitive skaters at Ohio Skate for ten years. Joyce enjoyed Bowling, Knitting, Sewing and attending sports, music and academic events of her children and grandchildren. Joyce also enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and traveled extensively both domestically and international. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd. Monday March 1, 2010 4-8 P.M. Where services will be held on Tuesday March 2, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in Ft. Meigs Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Toledo Zoo or The Alzheimer's Association.
