Joanne M Meek, 87, of Medina, Ohio, formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away February 10, 2022, at The Echelon of Medina. Born May 11, 1934, in Toledo to Carl and Harriet (Goodal) Eyman, Joanne was a graduate of Libbey High School and the University of Toledo. She was a teacher at Fort Miami Elementary School and retired from the Maumee City Schools. She also taught and managed two nursery schools in Maumee. She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Toledo, where she taught Sunday School, staffed the food pantry, and raised money to fight hunger.



Joanne was preceded in death by her husband Gordan Richard Meek in June of 2020, daughter Laura Meek, and brother James Eyman. Surviving are her sons Gary (Pamela) Meek, Kevin (Lorraine) Meek, and grandchildren William, Olivia, Jillian, and Adrienne Meek.



The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road, on Friday February 18, 2022, after 11:00 a.m. Services will be held at noon, followed by a private family interment at Toledo Memorial Park.
