Jean Marie Mruk

Jean Marie Mruk Jean Marie Mruk, age 87, passed away November 17, 2013 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Since May of 2013, she was a resident of Genoa Care Center and had formerly been a 24 year resident of Luther Crest. She was born May 8, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to Carl and Helen (Merillat) Andersen. She loved music, musicals and watching old movies. Jean loved being a homemaker and provided a beautiful home for her family. She was a former member of Glenwood Lutheran Church where she and her husband were very active. Jean's favorite activity at church was working in the kitchen. Jean later became a member of Advent Lutheran Church. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Mruk, and grandson, Matthew Metroff. Surviving are her daughters, Karen (Johnnie) Bellar, Panama City Beach, FL; Kathie Potts, Fremont, IN; and, Barbara (Ronald) Smith, Genoa, OH. Grandchildren are Donna Bucklew, George Metroff Jr., Dawn Bucklew, Bonnie (Gerry) Pauken, Micheal (Melissa) Metroff, Natalie Smith, and Nicole Smith. Also surviving are 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 22nd from 2-8 P.M. at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. at Byrne Rd., where services will take place on Saturday, November 23 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will follow immediately at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
