Helen F Wollenschlager

Helen Wollenschlager Helen Wollenschlager, of Toledo, passed away peacefully January 17, 2012. She was born to Otto and Caroline Weit on October 30, 1912. She was employed by Sears Roebuck for 27 years, retiring in 1976. Helen was a life-long member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church, attending St. Lucas for over 98 years. She was also a member of Women's Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and enjoyed attending these functions. She is survived by her daughter, Ruthann (Tom) Couturier, Son, Dr. Robert (Donna) Wollenschlager and grandchildren Janet (Dave) Forney, Sandy (Steve) Hale, Lori (Mark) Ryerson, Michael (Leslie) Flickinger, Lisa Flickinger, Carol (Chad) House, as well as great grandchildren, Becky, Brian, Brandon (Jessica), Nicole, Lindsay, Justin, Jadon, Kellie, Emily, Austin, Sofia, Hannah, Jacob and great great grandchild Lily Crompton, and many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wollenschlager, and brothers, Henry, Gustav and Charles, as well as sister, Lucille Zanter. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the loving care that was shown her by Heartland Hospice and the nurses at Perrysburg Commons and Heartland. Our thanks goes to Pastor Billmaier and Chaplain Ken for their many visits and prayers. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd on Sunday January 22, 2012 3-8 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. on Monday January 23, at St. Lucas Lutheran Church 745 Walbridge Ave. Toledo, Ohio where services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
