Helen Clare Potwora Helen C. Potwora, 90 of Toledo, Ohio passed away with her daughter by her side on February 20, 2012 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. Mrs. Potwora was born on August 23, 1921 in Pittston, Pa. Mrs. Potwora was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. "Butchie" Potwora in 1996. Helen and Butchie met at the movies. They were married November 24, 1946, and moved to Colorado, and eventually to Toledo where work could be found. Mrs. Potwora worked for The Toledo Hospital as a Registered Dietician for 25 years. Surviving is her daughter, Suzanne Boudrie, Granddaughter, Elizabeth (Shawn) Wargo. Helen was born a fashionista with the ability to shop like no other and passed this quality to her daughter and grandaughter. She spent the last few years of her life continuing to enjoy time spent with her daughter at their favorite shopping places. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd on Thursday February 23, 2012 2-8 P.M. where services will be held on Friday at 10:30 A.M. Entombment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. The family suggests memorials to the Toledo Humane Society.
