Esther J Vallejo (Nunceo)

Esther J Vallejo (Nunceo) 68 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Esther was born on October 24, 1953, in Fremont, Ohio to Mateo and Josephine (Castilleja) Nuncio. Esther was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and a loving wife to her husband Alvaro Vallejo Sr. In her spare time Esther enjoyed cooking, crafting, crocheting, watching movies, spending time with her family, especially her “Chippy” and listening to the Lord’s word. Esther loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and her dog “Chica” dearly. Esther always thought about everyone no matter the occasion. She welcomed everyone with open arms. She was loved by everyone and had an undeniable charm. She was the best cook and was proud of it.


Esther was preceded in death by her parents Mateo and Josephine Nuncio. Her son, Alvaro Vallejo Jr. brothers, Joe Nuncio, Charlie Nuncio, and sister, Olivia Montoya.

Esther is survived by her husband of 51 years Alvaro Vallejo Sr. Her children, Rachel Vallejo, Anita Vallejo, Victor Vallejo, and Josephine Vallejo. Stepson Ruben Martinez. Her 23 grandchildren, including Alvaro Vallejo III. As well as 15 great-grandchildren, including Alvaro ”Chippy” Vallejo IV, Nevaeh, Audrina, Aaliyah, Katalaya, Victor III, and Antonio. Siblings, Norma Nunceo, Rita Garcia, David Hernandez, Frank Campa, Mary Martinez, Emily Fuentes, Lupita Martinez, Mateo Campa, Noel Campa, Josefa Campa, and Dora Campa.

The family will receive friends at The Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd., Monday January 3, 2022, from 2-8 p.m. funeral services will be held Tuesday January 4, 2022, at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
