E. Tracy Gilbert
1928 - 2021

E. Tracy Gilbert of Toledo, Ohio passed away at the age of 92 on
February 11, 2021 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Toledo) from
complications of a fractured hip. He was born August 20, 1928 in
Toledo, Ohio to Elmer R and Margaret (Tracy) Gilbert. Tracy was a
graduate of Libbey High School in 1946 and attended the University of
Toledo studying engineering for several years. He worked for Industrial
Risk Insurers, formerly known as Factory Insurance Association for 22 years.

Tracy was an avid golfer playing many courses in Northwest Ohio and was
a former member of Heatherdowns Country Club and Laurel Hill Tennis
Club. He was a 30 year member of Maumee Elks #1850 and a current member
of Church of St. Andrew United Methodist.

Tracy was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae Gilbert in 2010.
Surviving are his sons Gregg Gilbert and Grant Gilbert, brother Homer
David (Nancy) Gilbert and sister Jean Rehm. Also surviving are nieces
and nephews. The family would like to extend special thanks to Lisa
Tirone caregiver.

Due to Covid there will be no services. Burial will be at Swanton
Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Church of St. Andrew United
Methodist or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Arrangements by the
