Donna Jean Abel Donna Jean Abel, 91, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away February 25, 2015 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Donna Jean was born on October 29, 1923 in Marblehead, Ohio to Ferris and Thelma (Rakosky) Duncan. Donna Jean was a graduate of Genoa High School and the former Flower Hospital School of Nursing. Donna Jean worked at Flower Hospital for 30 years in the newborn nursery. Donna Jean was an active member of First Alliance Church for many years. Those who knew her well will miss those generous hugs she offered them. Donna Jean was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Abel. Surviving are her daughters, Carol Sue (George) Haag, Luanne (Jerry) Scouten, grandchildren, Christopher Haag, Matthew (Chelsea) Haag , Benjamin (Catherine) Haag, Abigail Haag, Patrick (Sarah) Scouten, Lindsey (Craig) Roehrenbeck, Leah (Kenny) Barker, Allison Scouten, Great Grandchildren, Autumn Scouten, Annabelle Haag, Clara Haag, special family friend and companion Alice Schmidt. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Road on Monday, March 2, 2015, 4-8 p.m. , where services will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
