Diane Tharpe

Diane Ames Tharpe, 68, of Perrysburg, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Toledo Hospital after a long illness. Diane was born on January 29, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio. She was the daughter of Gaylord Ames and Isabelle (Webb) Ames. Diane was a graduate of Bowsher High School and the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing. Next to her love of family, nursing was her greatest passion in life. Diane held various nursing positions before she found what she always said was her true calling: pediatrics at the Toledo Hospital, where she was employed 17 years. Diane was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband Marshall, sons; Justin (Jane), Adam (Amelia), Brandon (Jennifer), and six grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. The family will receive friends and relatives at Bersticker- Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43614 at Byrne Road on Friday, June 24, 2016 from 2-8pm, where funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 1 pm with visitation starting at 11am.
