Cheri Lee Bussdieker

Cheri Lee (Riffner) Bussdieker, 63, of Battle Creek and formerly of Toledo, Ohio went home to be with her Lord after an accident at home on Tuesday, May 31, 2011. She was born December 15, 1947, to Hugh and Jacqueline (Currie) Riffner in Toledo, Ohio. Cheri grew up in Toledo and was a 1965 graduate of Bowsher High School. After raising her family, she has been employed teaching and assisting with special needs children for over 25 years in both Michigan and Ohio. Cheri married William S. Bussdieker in Toledo, OH on September 25, 1967. Surviving are her husband, Bill of 43 years; three sons, Michael Alan (Heather) Bussdieker of Columbus, OH, Bradley William Bussdieker of N.Y., NY, Stephen Emery Bussdieker of Battle Creek; one granddaughter, Abigail Bussdieker; her mother, Jacqueline Riffner of Toledo, OH, a sister, Pamela (Loren) Homan of Woodville, OH and four nieces and their families. Cheri was preceded in death by her father, a son, David and a daughter, Allison. Cheri was a lover of gardening, cooking and entertaining for friends and family. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd on Sunday June 5, 2011 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 6, at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Timothy Philabaum officiating. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
