Billy Jack Beckner Billy Jack Beckner, age 73 of Toledo, Ohio passed away Wednesday September 22, 2010 in the University of Toledo Medical College of Ohio Hospital. Mr. Beckner was born on October 10, 1936 in Huntington, West Virginia to Harold F. and Wilma Irene (Smith) Beckner. Mr. Beckner was a United States Marine during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Beckner worked for the Columbia Gas Co (NiSource) for 33 years retiring in 1992 as a Service Supervisor. Surviving is his wife of 26 years Linda (Gast) Beckner, Son, Van (Kathy) Beckner of Oregon, Ohio, Daughters, Iva Lou (Sidney) Plumb of Oregon, Ohio, Dawn (Vincent) Malta, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Step- Son, Howie (Jennifer) Brown, of Sylvania, Ohio, Brother, Glenn (Jean) Beckner, Faison, North Carolina, Sisters, Kathy (Tom) Simms of Huntington, West Virginia, Sister, Sydney (Michael) Burdick, also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Mr. Beckner was preceded in death by parents. The family will receive friends at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd at Byrne Rd. Friday September 24, 2010 3-8 P.M. where services will be held Saturday September 24 at 1:00 P.M. Inurnment will be held at a Later date.
